Mrs. Marianthi Kourti has a Bachelor of Science degree in “Human Biology” from University of Nicosia. After exams, her degree was recognized as equal to Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) from Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). During her bachelor degree, she obtained her bachelor thesis “The effect of microorganisms on male fertility”
She has a master of science degree(2021) in “Reproductive-Regenerative Medicine” from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her master thesis was about “Oxidative Stress Parameters and Female Fertility: The role of Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs)”
She participated in 3 learning programmes: “Human Fertility”, “Marketing and Brand” and “ESHRE-approved Basic Semen Analysis Course” from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
From October 2020 until July 2021 was employed as molecular biologist at the diagnostic laboratory of Foteini Romanidou-Sopasi. Also, from 2022 she is a scientific collaborator of the ELKE DUTH in “Research and Treatment of Infertility”
From February 2023, Mrs Marianthi is a Research Associate for the project “Individualized Medicine and Pharmacological Research Solutions Center (IMPReS)” (MIS 5047189) which is implemented under the Action “Support for Regional Excellence”, funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014-2020), under the supervision of Professor of Pharmacology, Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine, Director, Laboratory of Pharmacology, Department of Medicine, Democritus University of Thrace, Vangelis Manolopoulos. Her research interests include Molecular Biology and Pharmacogenomics with emphasis in human fertility
