MSc, Chemist

Ms. Paraskeva Theodora has a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, University of Ioannina (2014). In 2015-2017, she participated in the postgraduate program “Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutic”, Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace. Specifically, the postgraduate thesis concerned the 'In vitro control of the anti-cancer phototherapeutic ability of esters-oximes, through DNA photodegradation', under the supervision of Professor of Chemistry of Organic Compounds Mrs. Konstantina Fylaktakidou, in the laboratory of Organic Biological Chemistry and Natural Products Chemistry of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of DUTH.

In November 2013, she completed her two-month internship at a Microbiological Laboratory in Ioannina. From November 2016 to December 2021 she worked in Pharmathen International S.A., a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry in the Rhodope region, in Quality Control department. From November 2016 to December 2019 she worked as a Quality Control Analyst in Raw Materials and from December 2019 to December 2021 as a Raw Materials Reviewer in the same department. Since January 2022 she has been working as Research Fellow in the ‘Individualised Medicine & Pharmacological Research Solutions Center’ (IMPReS) (MIS 5047189) which is implemented under the Action “Support for Regional Excellence”, funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014–2020). Her field is about Therapeutic Drug Measurement using automated analyzers, quality control of results and design of research protocols on the use of combined liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS /MS).

Her interest and experience is about the qualitative and quantitative analysis of medicinal products using Liquid (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Ultraviolet (UV) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. She has knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards and harmonized standards according to European (EMA) and US Food & Drug Administration (FDA). In 2021 she obtained a Certificate of Quality Management Systems Inspector ISO 9001: 2015 from TUV AUSTRIA ACADEMY in collaboration with the University of Piraeus.

She is a member of the Association of Greek Chemists since 2014 and has participated in workshops, conferences and seminars in order to continuously update and expand the scientific fields she deals with.
